Microsoft Access databases: Other operators For information about school services provided by other TransLink bus operators, please visit their website or call them directly. Please note: The TransLink Transit Authority does not provide information about school transport services for these operators. The School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS) is a statewide Government initiative, which provides school transport assistance to eligible students. School students are required to pay 'top up' fares when they attend a school other than their nearest state school or non-state school – the 'top up' fare is based on the extra distance travelled. As part of the approval process used to determine school student eligibility for assistance, TransLink bus operators will use the 'top up' fare table to calculate the fare for the extra distance travelled (based on the information provided in your application). 'Top up' fares for School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS) eligible school students will change from the start of the 2008 school year.
