The new Transport Information Centre (TIC) is located at the King George Square station, Ann Street concourse. Its aim is to help you incorporate sustainable travel modes including public transport (bus, train, ferry), walking and cycling into your daily routine.

Services at the TIC

You can:
  • speak to a consultant about incorporating the use of public transport, walking and cycling into your daily travel routine
  • book in for a free personal journey planning session
  • pick up maps on walking and cycling paths for Brisbane
  • find timetables, service changes and public transport information
  • access TransLink's online journey planner through self serve touch screen kiosks
  • buy and top up go cards for use on public transport in South East Queensland.

Operating hours

Monday - Thursday: 8am - 6pm
Friday: 8am - 7pm
Saturday: 9am - 5pm
Sunday and public holidays: 10am - 4pm
Anzac Day: 1pm - 7pm
Christmas Day and Good Friday: closed


King George Square Cycle Centre - opens 2 June 2008

First of its kind in Australia, the King George Square Cycle Centre is centrally located in the King George Square station below the Transport Information Centre.

The Cycle Centre, which can be used on a casual or membership basis, includes 420 individual bike racks, male and female change rooms with a total of 35 showers, lockers, an ironing service and excellent security.

Cyclists have direct access via Turbot or Roma/Herschel Streets from the Bicentennial Bikeway or through Roma Street Parklands.

The King George Square Cycle Centre is jointly funded by Brisbane City Council and Queensland Government.
